▶ Hello there
William
Ghazal
Builder. Student. Founder of RootEntity. Currently studying DS & CS at Waterloo.
I build things to learn how the world works.
I'm a second-year Data Science and Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo. Most of my time goes into RootEntity, where I'm one of the founders — we're building an AI platform that lowers the activation energy for starting a company.
Before that I was writing a lot of code on my own, breaking and fixing my own infrastructure, and trying to understand systems by taking them apart. The site you're looking at runs on the same monorepo we use for RootEntity — it's how I learn.
If you're here because we're about to talk about a job, an investment, or something you want to build together — there's a link to my resume below, and my inbox is open.
What I'm up to
right now
- 01
Shipping RootEntity
Pushing the AI co-founder platform toward our public release. Mostly working across the stack on the customer-facing flows.
- 02
DS & CS at Waterloo
Second-year. Picking courses that actually overlap with the work — probability, statistics, algorithms, distributed systems.
- 03
Sharpening fundamentals
Reading more than I used to. Right now: papers and write-ups on systems design, plus the occasional detour into rendering and graphics.
- 04
Outside the screen
Spending time with friends and family in Toronto when I'm home, and recharging in ways that don't involve a keyboard.
Things I've
helped build
More to come — school projects, side projects, the Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2026 competition once it kicks off.
